Position Opportunity:
NIRAS seeks x3 experienced Automation Engineers to join our Automation Projects Team who will support our clients Automation Department at our clients Westport Site in Co. Mayo with day-to-day automation issues ensuring delivery of planned production schedules. Their primary function will be the support of the business unit across all shifts (2nd shift, 3rd shift and weekend support) whist working closely with Senior Automation engineers on complex issues and identifying process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Successful applicants will be responsible for;-
- Implementing improvements to equipment and procedures used in manufacturing process
- Lead small automation projects to improve the processes within the unit
- Support automation design element of capital expenditure projects.
- Support installation and commissioning of automated equipment onsite
- Point person for Data Integrity in the unit/department
- Providing support to the Automation Department on day-to-day automation issues ensuring delivery of planned production schedule
- Contribute in a team environment on technical problem solving forums associated with Aseptic Fill and Packaging and Product Manufacture,
- Working closely with BTS /Maintenance groups on troubleshooting issues on equipment and systems
- Support off shift issues as required based on a Rota
- Administration, attend twice-weekly Tier 2 department meetings, external meetings as required
- Attend monthly 1:1 meeting with supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience/ Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, IT, or related discipline
- Experience working with Rockwell control systems and Siemens
- Experience working with Rockwell FactoryTalk, SCADA systems, Siemens WinCC, iFix, Wonderware
- Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience working on support Automation Control Systems and Client/Server Architectures with a strong grasp of basic networking concepts
