Role Summary:

Prospecting and identifying opportunities, and also defining the services of NIRAS, which internationally has made its mark on the field of facility and process design, and also the design of sustainable utilities.

In this role, you work together with an expert team of engineers and experts recruited specially for this industry. You contribute to the growth of this team, consisting of building, packaging and process engineers, and also 3D designers and project managers. Collaborating with your colleagues, mainly from Ireland and Denmark is crucial during this process. Where possible, you will be supported by your colleagues who work in the food industry.

 

What will you do?

  • Participate in the preparation of a business plan including ambitious objectives.
  • Carrying out market research and identify market needs related to our services.
  • Building up strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expert from NIRAS.
  • Leading tender and quotation processes and drawing up extensive quotations and project plans in line with the required standards and (administrative processes) of NIRAS, with backup from Global Business Support.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to improve service delivery and guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Following trends, regulations and technological developments within the Life Sciences.
  • Delivering case studies, technical papers and marketing material supporting business development.
  • Using your expertise when serving for customer projects and/or internal development.

 

What you bring to the role?

  • Demonstrable (international) experience in sales or business development in the Life Sciences sector and thorough knowledge of engineering and design.
  • Preferably you will have a relevant, technical background and/or training.
  • Be proficient with the MS Office package (Word, Excel, Visio).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Hold driving license B.
  • Proactive, communicative, strong, organised, strategic, quality-oriented and flexible skills.
